Organize PDF Pages and Files
Organize tools change which pages a PDF has and in what order, without changing what is written on them. You can merge several files into one, split a file into parts, keep or delete chosen pages, reorder or rotate pages, number them, or place several pages on one sheet.
They work on whole pages and keep the original content, so text stays selectable. To change what a page says, use the Edit tools; to change the file type, use Convert.
- Merge PDFMerge PDF combines two or more PDF files into one document, in the order of your file list. It joins the original pages with qpdf, so text stays selectable, and it needs no account.
- Split PDFSplit PDF cuts one PDF into several files after the page numbers you enter; each number is the last page of a piece. The pieces download together as one ZIP.
- Rotate PDFRotate PDF turns pages by 90, 180 or 270 degrees and saves a new file. It rotates all pages by default, or only the pages you list. The angle is absolute, not added to the page's current rotation.
- Extract PDF PagesExtract Pages saves the pages you list, such as 1,3,5-8, as a new PDF in the order you type them. Everything else is left out, and your original file is not changed.
- Remove PDF PagesRemove Pages deletes the pages you list, such as 2,5-7, from a PDF and keeps the rest in their original order. The result downloads as a new PDF; your original file is not changed.
- Resize PDF PagesAdjust Page Scale sets every page of a PDF to a paper size you choose, such as A4, Letter or Legal, and stretches the content to fill it. Width and height scale independently, so the aspect ratio is not kept.
- Add Page NumbersAdd Page Numbers prints a page number onto every page of a PDF as real text. You choose one of six positions along the top or bottom edge, the font size and the starting number; the digits are set in Helvetica.
- Remove Blank PagesRemove Blanks sorts the pages of a PDF into blank and non-blank sets and returns them as separate PDFs in a ZIP. A page counts as blank when it has no extractable text and no embedded images.
- Split by ChaptersSplit by Chapters cuts a PDF at its top-level bookmarks and returns one PDF per chapter in a ZIP. A file with no bookmarks is rejected, because the tool reads the outline, not the page text.
- Split by Page CountSplit by Page Count cuts a PDF into equal pieces, either N pages each or N documents of about equal length, and returns them in a ZIP. It divides by pages, not by file size in megabytes.
- Split by SectionsSplit by Sections divides every page of a PDF into a grid of rows and columns and places the pieces on new pages of one PDF. It is geometric tiling, not chapter or content detection.
- PDF to Single PagePDF To Single Page stacks every page of a PDF vertically onto one tall page. Its width is that of the widest page and its height is the sum of the page heights. It is a strip, not several pages per sheet.
- Multiple Pages Per SheetMultiple Pages Per Sheet places 2 to 100 pages of a PDF onto each sheet of a new PDF, in a grid read left to right, then top to bottom. The sheet is sized from the first page, with no margins.
- PDF BookletPDF Booklet reorders a PDF into saddle-stitch spreads, two source pages per output page, padded with blanks to a multiple of four. Printed double-sided and folded, the pages read in order.
- Auto Split PDFAuto Split PDF cuts a scanned batch into separate documents at divider sheets that carry a QR code whose text is exactly https://pdf123.xyz, then returns the parts in a ZIP. Other QR codes are ignored.
- Overlay PDFsOverlay PDFs draws the pages of one or more overlay PDFs on top of, or behind, the pages of a base PDF. Overlay pages repeat when there are fewer than base pages, and are stretched to each base page.
- Rearrange PagesRearrange Pages reorders the pages of a PDF with qpdf. It can follow a custom page list, reverse the file, sort for duplex or booklet printing, split odd and even pages, drop the first or last page, or duplicate pages.
