Convert PowerPoint Slides to PDF
PowerPoint to PDF converts a PPTX, PPT or ODP presentation into a PDF with LibreOffice. Slides follow LibreOffice's import of the file, so check each slide against the original.
Drag and drop files here, or click to choose
Accepts PPTX, PPT, ODP · up to 500.0 MB per file · up to 20 files at once
You can also paste a file with Ctrl/Cmd+V, or from the clipboard menu.
PowerPoint to PDF sends your presentation through LibreOffice (`soffice --convert-to pdf`). It accepts .pptx, .ppt and .odp. The download is named after your file with a .pdf extension, and page size comes from the presentation.
Layout follows LibreOffice's import of the slides and then its PDF export. Fonts, spacing, speaker notes and special effects may not look as they do in PowerPoint, and animations and transitions do not exist in a PDF. Go through the slides and compare them with the original before you send the file.
Links to external resources, such as remote pictures and linked media, are removed before conversion, so a picture that is only linked will be missing. Embed it in the presentation first.
A file LibreOffice cannot read can still return a short or blank PDF with a success response, so always check the page count. Macros are not run as a feature, and encrypted presentations often fail until you open and re-save them without a password.
This page converts one presentation at a time. To turn a PDF back into slides, PDF to PowerPoint goes the other way. For documents use Word to PDF.

Frequently asked questions
- Will my slides look identical in the PDF?
- Close but not identical. LibreOffice imports the file and exports the PDF, so fonts, spacing and effects can differ from PowerPoint. Check each slide.
- Are animations and transitions kept?
- No. A PDF page is static, so animations and transitions are not part of the result.
- Can I get speaker notes or several slides per page?
- Not from this page, which has no handout or notes options. Export notes pages from the presentation application first.
- Why is a picture missing?
- Links to external resources are removed before conversion. Embed the picture in the presentation and convert again.
- Can I convert several presentations at once?
- This page takes one file at a time. Convert each and join the PDFs with Merge.
