Put the Pages of a PDF in Reverse Order

Reverse PDF Page Order puts the pages of a PDF in the opposite order and saves a new file, so the last page becomes the first. The mode is preset to Reverse all pages.

A stack scanned back to front, or a document that was assembled in the wrong direction, comes out with its last page first. Reversing the order fixes it in one step. The mode on this page is already Reverse all pages, so there is nothing to enter.

The pages are copied into a new PDF in the opposite order, so the file keeps its text and fonts. Your original is not changed.

The same menu offers other arrangements, such as sorting a duplex scan or removing the first or last page, if reversing is only part of what you need.

  • Password-protected files need their password first

Does reversing change the pages themselves?
No. Only their order changes. Each page is copied as it was.
Can I reverse only some pages?
Use the rearrange tool in Custom order mode and list the pages in the order you want, such as 5,4,3,2,1.
How is this different from rotating?
Rotating turns the content of a page. Reversing changes where each page sits in the document.
What about a duplex scan with the backs in reverse order?
Reverse the back-side file first, then use the Duplex scan sort mode when you merge the sides back together.
