Turn Every Page of a PDF Into Its Own File
Split PDF into Single Pages cuts a PDF after every page and returns one one-page PDF per page, packed in a ZIP. The page field is preset to all, so you do not list any numbers.
Drag and drop a file here, or click to choose
Accepts PDF · up to 500.0 MB per file
You can also paste a file with Ctrl/Cmd+V, or from the clipboard menu.
Sometimes every page has to travel on its own: a stack of scanned receipts, a book of forms, a batch of single-page invoices scanned as one file. The page field is set to all, which tells the tool to cut after every page.
The result is a ZIP with one PDF per page, numbered in order. Each file is a copy of its page, so text stays selectable, and your original is not changed.
If you only want to cut at a few places, replace all with the page numbers after which to cut, such as 3,7. The page is a shortcut for the one-file-per-page case.

How do I split a PDF into single pages?
- Upload the PDF
- Keep all in the field
- Click Process and download the ZIP of single pages
Limits and edge cases
- A long file produces a long ZIP; a 300-page file gives 300 files
- Files are named by order, not by page content
- Password-protected files need their password first
Test results and conditions
- Test file: a 10-page PDF generated for this project's test suite, one line of text per page.
- Splitting with the field set to all returned a ZIP of 10 one-page PDFs.
Privacy for this tool
Files are uploaded over HTTPS, processed in memory or a short-lived temporary directory on our servers, and deleted when your result is ready. We do not keep copies for later browsing, training, or advertising profiles. See the Privacy Policy for retention details and AdSense cookie disclosures.
Frequently asked questions
- How are the files named?
- In page order, so opening the ZIP lists them in the same sequence as the pages.
- Can I split only at certain pages?
- Yes. Replace all with the pages to cut after, for example 3,7, to get three pieces from a 10-page file.
- Is there a limit on the number of pages?
- The upload limit is the file size, not the page count, but every page becomes a file, so very long documents give very large ZIPs.
- Do the single pages keep their text?
- Yes. Pages are copied from the original rather than turned into images.
